Tips for brewing better
Brew Guide - V60
This is a range of high-quality porcelain filters that coffee connoisseurs across the world are celebrating for their excellent properties. The angle of the cone, the large hole at the base, and the curved ridges create a perfect brew and a great cup of coffee.
1 cup
15 g coffee
250 g water
3 minutes
1. RINSE THE FILTER – This helps eliminate any flavoring left by the paper, while also heating your V60 filter holder and the pot you will use to brew your coffee. Don’t forget to empty the water from the bottom of the pot - a common rookie mistake.
2. ADD 15 GRAMS OF COFFEE – And even it out slightly before brewing. Aways use freshly ground beans, and we suggest you invest in a grinder so that the coffee can be ground immediately before brewing. Determine the correct amount using a digital scale.
3. BLOOM – Place your V60 filter on the pot and then place everything the scale and reset it before starting. Make sure the water is at the correct temperature, about 95°C. Then add 50 grams of water. Being thorough will improve the flavor, smoothness, and all-round experience of your coffee
4. STIR – It’s just like making hot chocolate: mixing coco directly with all of the milk makes it lumpy. But mixing just half of the milk, stirring, and adding the rest later dissolves the coco. That is what we are looking for here.
5. Add ADD 100 GRAMS OF WATER IN A CIRCULAR MOTION – You want to maximize turbulence by utilizing the V60 filter’s internal ridges. Add water in a clockwise motion that follows the shape of the filter. Begin in the middle and move your way out.
6. POUR UNTIL THE EDGE OF THE WATER REACHES THE COFFEE GROUNDS – For maximum control, coffee should be brewed evenly without stopping. Add more water as soon as you can almost see the coffee grinds crown the water.
7. ADD THE REMAINING 100 GRAMS OF WATER – Once again, pour fresh water from the inside out using a circular, clockwise movement. Stir the coffee clockwise with a spoon as soon as you spot the coffee under the surface of the water. Pick up and carefully drop the filter again in order to remove any residual coffee grounds from the edges. The coffee should have a smooth surface when you are done brewing.
