Graciano Cruz has been the proud owner of the Los Lajones farm since 1992. The farm is located on the slopes of the Baru Volcano, and is one of the highest altitude farms in Panama. Of the 160 ha farm only 35 are planted ith coffee, the rest is primary forest providing habitat for 40 % more insects and 20 % more birds compare to average farms. Graciano planted Geisha trees here in 2009, and on this particular part of the farm, Loma Alta, Graciano cultivates Geisha at over 2 000 m.a.s.l.
About El Burro
Panama El Burro Geisha Robert Lamastus, a Kentucky native, bought a farm in Panama in 1918. Today, the family owns two farms, Finca Elida and Finca El Burro that are managed by Wilford and Wilford Jr. The El Burro farm is located in the Boquete region in Panama, which is part of the Baru Volcano National Park. The volcanic surroundings provides not only for a young, rich volcanic soil but also a very humid and misty environment.
